The Fat Chance Chris Cross 


The Chris Cross is an incredibly versatile machine, equally capable of crushing your local CX race, tackling long summer gravel rides and bike packing trips, or fitting fenders for mixed terrain winter training. Adaptable and lightweight, with Chris Chance’s signature handling, it’s designed to keep you grinning with dirt in your teeth, on whatever terrain you shred. 

The Gravel Chris Cross is handcrafted here in the USA, from a mix of Columbus and Reynolds 853 tubing. It features a custom tapered 34/44 head tube to fit a variety of fork sizes including the Enve Gravel Disc fork standard, or choose the steel Yo Eddy GCX Bikepacking fork. Built right here in the Fat Laboratory, and based on the design of the legendary Yo Eddy mountain bike fork, the Yo Eddy GCX fork comes equipped with a host of braze-ons for additional water bottles, front porteur rack or fenders.

Ovalized, S-bend chainstays and seatstays give the Chris Cross some big tire clearance for anything up to 44mm in the 700c range and up through 2.1” in the 650b mountain bike tires . We use the same modular down tube cable routing that we use on the Yo Eddy to give flexibility to run 2 or 3 cables depending on whether you use a 1x or 2x set up, or even a dropper post! (Optional seat tube port with grommet)

Our rear dropouts come with the option for rack/fender mounts (welded to the dropouts). These can combine with the subtle chainstay and seat stay bridge fender mounts. (Be sure to mention in the notes section if you want the fender or rack mounts welded onto the dropouts)
